Sunday worship

Worship silhouetteEvery Sunday, 10.30am to 12.00 noon, we meet together to give glory to God and to seek his face. We aim for our worship to be joyful, reverent, and relevant to everyday life. It's important to us that our worship is a 'together' thing - drawing strength and honouring God by being community together. That's reflected in the core of who we believe God has called us to be - a community living to make Jesus known.

So what can you expView from balconyect when you arrive on a Sunday morning? First thing, when you come up the steps on Broadway, you will be greeted by a friendly, welcoming face. Choose a seat wherever you like.

GuitarWe usually start off with a prayer, a Bible reading, and some songs. The music will be led by one of our two bands. We throw in the occasional hymn, but most of our songs are more contemporary. Most people stand when we're singing songs, but feel free to sit if you prefer.
There will be prayers for our community and/or the wider world, maybe a few 'adverts' for things coming up, and a money 'offering' (but we don't want our visitors to feel any compulsion to dig into your pocket. We like cheerful givers, nor arm-twisted ones!)

A really important part of being a community living to make Jesus known is learning from the Bible, so our Sunday worship includes a 30 minute talk, explaining the Bible and applying it to everyday life. The talk will be given by our Minister, Bill, or by one of our other gifted preachers.

kidsChildren and young people are important to us, so we have groups for different ages:
BabyZone - this is in The Well, next to the main worship area. If you have a baby, feel free to wander to and from the BabyZone as you need to.
Mini BiF - a group for toddlers and pre-schoolers. This meets in the room directly underneath the main worship area. The Mini BiF space is kitted out with lots of appealing play equipment, and your little ones will enjoy a snack, a Bible story, and loads of fun.
BiF stands for Bible is Fantastic, and is our group for primary school children. BiF meets in our Blue Room.
TRIBE - Totally Radical Interactive Bible Experience. TRIBE is for high school young people, up to and including Year 10. From Year 11 onwards, young people stay in the main worship service, but have their own TRIBE Senior around once a month.

We all worship together for the first 15-20 minutes, then the kids go out to their own groups. All our children's and youth workers are DBS checked, and follow our child protection policy.

coffeeAfter our worship time, we have tea and coffee in The Well. Please stay around and say Hi - it would be lovely to get to know you!

We also have a prayer corner, where our prayer ministry team are always ready to meet with anyone who would like prayer for anything at all.

Why not join us on Sunday? It would be great to welcome you as we explore God's incredible love - together!
